On the passing of David Crosby…

21 January 2023

Beyond words, my sadness at saying goodbye to my dear friend. David’s brilliance and uniqueness as a singer, songwriter and guitarist will always set him apart and among the very best. There was no one like him, on or off stage.

Thank you, David, for all you gave us. For all the years of our shared music, activism and friendship. Yours was a life truly well lived.

My deepest condolences to Jan, Django, James and all the family. I know he will live on in our hearts and his music forever.  — Bonnie

On the passing of Renee Geyer…

17 January 2023

Shocked and so saddened to hear of the sudden passing of another friend and one of the greatest singers I’ve ever known, Australia’s incomparable Renee Geyer. Her husky, powerful and deeply soulful voice and phrasing has blown me away since I first heard her back in 1980 in LA, while making her So Lucky album with producer Rob Fraboni, and the Bump Band, consisting of legendary keys player, Ian McLagan, drummer Ricky Fataar, guitarist Johnny Lee Schell and bassist Ray Ohara. I was so knocked out I enlisted Rob and that band to play on my next album, Green Light, in 1981.

Whether through decades of her own albums and live shows, joining in on records with Sting, Jackson Browne, Hamish Stuart or my own, “Spit of Love,” with her impossibly low growl, unearthly high swoops but mostly, staggeringly great singing, there was no one like her. She was feisty, fiercely independent and faced a lot being a strong woman in this music business. She was also my good friend and will remain an inspiration and in my heart always. My condolences to her family and friends. –Bonnie

On the passing of Dave Woodford…

30 December 2022

I want to mark the sad passing on December 20th of my friend and former sax player, Dave ‘Woody’ Woodford, who was a valued member of our touring band from 1979 through 1985. An extraordinary player, Dave brought great fire and soul to every show and was as much fun to hang with offstage as he was on.

My deep condolences go out to his wife Sharon, daughter Justine and her mom Caryl, and all the Woodford family. I’m so grateful for the time we had together and for the great memories and music we will remember him by. -Bonnie

A message from Bonnie

23 November 2022

I want to thank all our fans for showing such great passion and appreciation for both our shows and the new album these last 8 months. Thanks to you, we got to share one of the most rewarding, successful and fun tours ever, with the added gift of not having had to cancel any shows due to Covid!

I want to thank my dear special guest/friends NRBQ, Mavis, Lucinda, Marc and their bands & crews for bringing so much magic to each show.

And to my incredible band, crew, our Redwing Records home team and all the folks who worked so hard on booking, production, promotion, PR, socials, website, ticketing, art/design, travel, accounting, merch, and the non-profit organizations that joined us nearly every night — thanks to every one of you for helping to make this an absolutely banner year for Just Like That…

Wishing you all a very healthy, happy holiday season and we look forward to picking our tour back up when we resume in March 2023. Excited to take the show outside the states and hit some of the cities and festivals we missed this year!

We have so much to be grateful for this Thanksgiving, and sharing our blessings with so many in need for me will be the best start to this ‘giving season’.

Many thanks again for our incredible year~

San Antonio show postponed to November 1st!

6 October 2022

We are truly sorry to announce the postponement of Bonnie’s October 7th concert with Special Guest Marc Cohn at The Majestic Theatre in San Antonio, TX to the future date of November 1, 2022. Bonnie has been fighting her first chest cold in a long while and unfortunately it is now impacting her ability to sing. She has been advised by her doctor to rest her voice tomorrow with hopes to get back on stage for Grand Prairie the next day.

We apologize for this late notice, but after a healthy streak of 61 shows this year, one of these bugs going around finally caught up with Bonnie and we must err on the side of protecting her voice.

She deeply regrets having to postpone the concert in San Antonio and hopes you will be able to attend the rescheduled date just a few weeks away when she, Marc Cohn and their bands return on November 1st.

Your tickets for October 7, 2022 will be honored at the rescheduled show on November 1, 2022. Please hold onto your original tickets (electronic and physical.) If you will not be able to attend the rescheduled date, please reach out to your original point of purchase to request a refund by October 21st.
